Licensed child care providers must apply for the program to ensure funding for their clients.
OXFORD COUNTY- The deadline for licensed child care providers to apply for the Canada Wide Funding Program is coming up.
The program was implemented earlier this year and it aims to make child care more affordable for families. It does this by refunding 25 per cent of child care fees for children under six, which will be increased to 50 per cent in the new year.
Families can only receive these refunds if they use a licensed child care provider that has successfully enrolled in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) funding program before the deadline of November 1st.
Participation in the program is optional but parents should encourage their providers to apply. Should they chose not to apply they must advise parents of the decision.
More information on the program and how to apply can be found here.
