Some residents of the Friendly City are sharing a positive outlook on a place they love to call home.
WOODSTOCK - Residents at the Park Place Retirement Home are reminding everyone why they love Woodstock.
The residents created an 'I Love Woodstock' board that you can see when you walk into the home. Director of Community Relations at Park Place in Woodstock Holly Albion tells Heart FM their residents love our community.
"Something that really came to light was our residents just expressed that there is so much negativity around Woodstock and it is so important that we don't let that define us because Woodstock is so much more and coming from individuals who have lived in this city all of their lives and want to live in this city for the rest of their lives, it's so important to them to get out a positive message about Woodstock because there are so many great things here."
Albion says they have opened up the board to the entire community and you can stop by and add to it at any time. Albion says the board is already full of positive messages.
"So many things: community, sense of belonging, the cow, Main Street - but the one thing everybody seemed to focus on is people."
