Landfill and boundary changes are priorities for Ingersoll Town Council candidate Broderick Carey.
INGERSOLL- It will be a tough race, with votes being divided between nine candidates vying for two positions on Ingersoll town council as councillors. Broderick Carey has included himself in the race. The longtime Ingersoll resident says if he gets elected he has a top priority that is shared amongst many councillors. "If I get elected I hope to strongly oppose the landfill site and also work at things such as the boundary changes and the other issues that are before us to make Ingersoll the place we all love and enjoy and continue to build on what we have."
Carey comes from a background of lobbying, including local involvement. "I served on Oxford Regional Labour council, I also was plan chair person for the Kelsey Hayes in Woodstock, I worked there for over thirty years so during that time I got to lobby federal and provincial governments."
Carey is confident he has what it takes to serve on council.
"I know the process of how things have to come together and how people have to work together and listen to each other to find solutions so we can all move forward in a very positive way."
Candidates futures will be decided October 27th at the municipal election.
