WOODSTOCK - The city of Woodstock has approved two buses to provide transportation for youth attending an upcoming New Year's Eve party.
City council approved the transportation at the latest council meeting, providing free transit access to students attending a local New Year's Eve party in the community.
The event will be put on by the United Way, Rotary Club and Calvary Church for children between the ages of 13 to 18-years-old, and close to 300 people are expected to attend.
The party will provide a safe, fun environment for New Year's Eve and it will be a non-religious, alcohol-free event for all of the youth in Woodstock. It will be held on December 31st from 8:00pm to 12:30am.
The buses will run on December 31st from 10:00pm to 1:00am.
