One person is in police custody following a weapons complaint at Paris District High School.
UPDATE - Brant OPP has given an update regarding the hold-and-secure incident in Paris.
Since their investigation, a 15-year-old has now been charged with a count of assault with a weapon.
The name of the youth will not be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

PARIS - Paris District High School was put into a hold-and-secure.
Brant OPP responded to a weapons complaint at the school this afternoon (Friday, March 1st) just before 12:25.
Members of the OPP, including the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit remain at the school doing their investigation.
Currently, there is one person in custody, with no charges laid.
No injuries were reported, and there is no threat to the public's safety.
The public is being advised that for the time being there will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation remains ongoing.
