Drugmaker Apotex is recalling one lot of its birth-control pills Alysena 28 in Canada because of incorrect packaging that raises the chance of an unplanned pregnancy. Apotex says the lot may have been packaged with only two weeks of drug-laden tablets instead of three. Women taking the incorrectly packaged pill would not receive the proper amount of contraceptive. Apotex says the affected lot (L-F-01899-A) was distributed in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and all four Atlantic provinces.
