The Big Night Out was a huge success raising over $100,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock and District.
WOODSTOCK - Over $100,000 was raised this year the Big Night Out Charity Ball for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock.
The event had over 450 guests who were treated to a buffet style dinner with live music and a DJ. Fundraising and Marketing assistant Kristen Ralph tells Heart FM what they do with the money.
"The money goes directly to programming, so in 2015 we served over 460 kids in Woodstock and District and we really needed to raise the funds so we can continue to increase our programs and reach more kids."
She says they are absolutely thrilled with the results this year and want to thank everyone who came out and supported the organization. Ralph also wanted to give special thank you to the committee chairmen this year.
"We had Bill Van Haren was our committee chair this year and we definitely couldn't of done as well as we did without him. He was the one who really pushed us to say, you know what I think we can raise $100,000 and we did so we really want to thank him for being that driving force behind our committee for the event this year."
