Oxford opened the tournament against a strong London Gold Medal #1 team and played with them through the first quarter but eventually succumbed to London's high pressure and physical play losing 52-20. Joshua Flanagan paced the Attack with eight points while Ben Mott added four points including hitting both of his free throws. The second game for the Attack was a high paced back and forth contest with the Haldimand Huskies from Caledonia. The game came down to some missed free throws from the Attack in a 50-46 defeat. Flanagan once again led the attack in scoring with 16 points while Derric Pollock had a solid effort on both ends of the court adding 10 points. The Attack played its best game of the day in their last contest but it wasn't enough as they fell to the Orangeville Hawks 45-36. An already shorthanded Attack squad missing 3 players with the flu lost Justin Mezenberg early with a twisted ankle. The game was highlighted by two three point field goals from Mott and Kurtis Rooke. Flanagan had nine points and Chris Cottrell added eight in the defeat. Next up for the Attack is a return game in Kitchener, Saturday against a strong Vipers squad that beat the Attack back at the end of November.
