Police are getting complaints about an overnight Amber Alert despite the success of the alert, which directly resulted in locating the two little boys and their grandfather.
ONTARIO - Two missing children who were the subject of an Amber Alert in southern Ontario overnight have been found and are safe.
York Regional Police tweeted just before 5 a-m Eastern Time that the Toronto Police Service found the two young brothers with their grandfather driving down Lakeshore Boulevard in Toronto.
Two hours earlier, police issued an Amber Alert for the boys who had been last seen yesterday afternoon with their 70-year-old grandfather north of the city at a mall in Newmarket.
Police say the kids and their grandfather are in good health and were located "as a direct result'' of the Amber Alert.
Despite the success of the alert this morning, police say they are receiving a number of complaints about the early morning Amber Alert.
