Two Woodstonians are facing multiple charges after a gun was fired into a residence in the City.
WOODSTOCK - Two people are facing charges after a weapons call in Woodstock.
Police responded on Monday around 9 p.m. after a firearm was discharged into a residence in the area of Frontenac Crescent. As a result, a 37-year-old Woodstock man and a 36-year-old Woodstock woman are facing a list of charges.
The charges include: two counts of careless use of a firearm, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and one count each of discharging a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner, mischief endangering life, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition.
The 37-year-old is also facing a charge of obstructing a Peace Officer.
They have both been held in custody waiting for a bail hearing. Through the investigation, it was determined that the shooting was not a targeted incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the safety of the public.
