Officers handed out 13 speeding tickets in school zones around the Friendly City today.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police charged 13 drivers with speeding in school zones in the Friendly City today.
The Woodstock Police Service Traffic Unit conducted the blitz in school zones today. One driver was caught doing almost twice the posted speed limit at 74 km/hr. Two drivers were also charged with failure to provide insurance and not having a valid permit.
Constable Tyler Allard says you have to be aware of your surroundings when driving at all times.
"The Woodstock Police Service would like to remind all driver’s to slow down and be aware of the areas they are travelling in. There are signs posted in all School Zone area’s alerting driver’s to reduce speeds and watch for children crossing the street. Let’s all do our part to make sure that all children are safe at school and return home safely to their families."
