You can go bowling, play pickleball, or try out an indoor golf simulator this year.
OXFORD - Play for Kids Sake is right around the corner and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County is encouraging everyone to Go for Gold this year.
That's the theme of this years event and Fund Development Coordinator Nicole Killaire says you can dress accordingly.
"Your favourite team, you can come to represent Canada, just have some fun with it! Whatever you think of when you want to go for gold. So if you play for a team, maybe wear your team jersey!"
You can enter a team of four to six people to go bowling, play pickleball, or try out an indoor golf simulator. They have opportunities available in Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll from January 30th to February 13th, but Killaire suggests registering sooner rather than later.
"We actually have some time slots that have filled up already. Our website has the complete schedule of times that are still available and I definitely suggest your book in sooner so you get your preferred time."
They also have an early bird registration contest right now. If you register your team before Friday January 16th, you'll be entered for a chance to win a pizza party from Little Caesars Woodstock.
Those who register are also encouraged to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County. The participant package includes some fundraising tips, instructions on how to create your fundraising page, and information about the fundraising incentives available.
You can find more information about Play for Kids Sake online here. You can also find the online registration form online here.
Nicole Killaire stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Xander and Marcie on Thursday January 8th. You can listen to the full interview below:
