We could see wind gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour today.
UPDATE - Gusty wind is expected in Oxford County.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement as gusts could hit 80 to 90 km/h this afternoon. Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Monica Vaswani explains why warmer temperatures have arrived in the County over the last few days.
"Normally, our jet stream dips further south in the winter, and that allows the Arctic air from the north to push down. So, it's just a little bit of a switch for a couple of days, but we are going back to what we normally see with Arctic air moving in for next week."
Vaswani says the abnormal weather won't be here much longer.
"Snow is on tap basically for Saturday night into Sunday. And actually, there's another round of lake effect snow expected on Sunday."
Vaswani adds daytime highs are expected to drop to around plus 3 tomorrow and minus 1 on Sunday. Also, Vaswani mentions that more seasonal temperatures will hit the forecast heading into next week.

OXFORD - We're in for a mild but windy start to the weekend.
Environment Canada says we have showers and a risk of thunderstorms in the forecast for this morning, which could create wind gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour. A cold front will also pass through the area this afternoon, which could bring wind gusts between 80 and 90 kilometres per hour.
The winds should start to die down in the evening.
We're also in for a high of 13 for today, but it will drop to a low of minus 2 overnight, feeling like minus 5 with the wind chill.
