Woodstock Police are investigating several thefts in the Friendly City, including a brand new wheel chair that is worth an estimated $8,000 and belonged to someone who really needed it.
WOODSTOCK - There are a number of thefts currently under investigation in the city of Woodstock. Anyone with information on the following incidents is asked to contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.
Police have recovered a vehicle that was stolen from a business Oxford Road 2 in the township of Blandford-Blenheim. The grey 2001 GMC Silverado pickup truck was taken from a parking lot between May 1st and May 2nd.
The vehicle was reported stolen to police on May 4th, later in the day, the Brantford Police service had recovered the vehicle.
There are no suspects at this time.

Sometime during the evening Tuesday a wheelchair was stolen from the front lawn of an Adelaide Street residence.
The owner says she parked the chair on her lawn around 6:30 p.m., it is described as red and black in colour, with an "Action Medical" flag hanging from the back of the chair.
The value of the chair when purchased new was approximately $8,000.00.

Sometime during the early morning hours between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, suspects entered a garage at a Springbank Ave. residence and got away with a number of items. The owner says the suspects took a combo pack electric lawn mower and a lime green leaf blower valued at approximately $500.00.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. Monday, police received a report of a theft from vehicle that occurred sometime during the night from a Maud Street residence. Meanwhile Police are looking into the theft of a 2-foot tall, heavy, grey garden elephant that occurred at Clarke St. N., residence. It is believed the thefts occurred sometime over the weekend.

The Pioneer Gas Bar on Norwich Ave was also the target of a shoplifting incident. So far the investigation has revealed that an unknown male suspect entered the store and stole ice cream products and donuts on Monday shortly after midnight.
The suspect is described as being approximately 25 years old, at the time was wearing dark track pants, over sized grey hoodie, a hat and a white mask with writing on it. The male was heading north on Norwich Ave. when he left.
