Heart FM will be opening up the airwaves for a Radiothon this fall for the Woodstock Hospital Foundation.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Hospital Foundation and Heart FM are teaming up for a Radiothon this Fall.
This is going to be a first for both the Foundation and the radio station as the goal is to make it an annual thing. How it works is the station will broadcast live from the hospital and we will be raising funds all day. Senior Development Officer for the Woodstock Hospital Jocelyn Jenner says they are really excited to get things started.
"Well we are really excited to be working with Heart FM on an upcoming Radiothon that is taking place in October of 2017 and we are going to be supporting our maternal child unit."
The goal for the first year is to raise $25,000 for the maternal child unit and the hope is we will raise more money at future radiothons.
Jenner says they still have a lot of planning to do and we will be having more announcements in the future. Stay tuned for more announcements as we work to confirm a date and the piece of equipment that we will be fundraising for.
