Woodstock Candidate Profile - Daniel Leduc

The list of candidates for Woodstock City Council continues to grow, with Daniel Leduc trying to get a seat in the upcoming municipal election.

WOODSTOCK - A lifelong Woodstock resident is running for City Council.

Daniel Leduc is currently the Chief Building Official with South-West Oxford and thinks his experience in that role would bring some valuable knowledge to Woodstock Council. Leduc says why he has decided to run for Council.

"I just think it's time for some youth to get into council. I think it would be beneficial to kind of hear and voice the concerns of people more from my demographic, my age."

Leduc talks about areas he would like to focus on if elected.

"Affordable housing for not only our homeless downtown but also just for young families, continuing to update infrastructure in the city, keep up with the road reconstruction projects and then also youth sports and youth sports facilities."

He adds he would also like to protect agricultural land as best as he can, knowing the City needs to develop as growth continues.

Residents will head to the polls and cast their ballots on Monday, October 26, 2026.
