Homeowners in Mount Elgin can expect overnight water disruptions next week and the County flushes the local watermains.
MOUNT ELGIN - People in Mount Elgin will have to go without water for a couple of nights.
The County will be conducting some extra cleaning while the watermains are being flushed next week. This means the water will be off periodically overnight between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Homeowners in the area should turn off their incoming water supply, water softener and electrical supply to their hot water tank while the work is being done. If you don't, you could accidentally plug the waterline from the street to your home.
Once the water is back on, you'll have to turn on a cold tap that is not connected to a water softener for a few minutes in order to clear the your water lines.
The County says those living in the area should stock up on water before the planned disruption.
