
The UTRCA says the festival shows kids the importance of water.
WOODSTOCK - The Oxford Children’s Water Festival Family Night is back in Woodstock.
The event is coming to the Pittock Conservation Area from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15th and it includes hands-on activities meant to teach children about the importance of water.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) has a slew of activities planned, including:
- Water-themed activity stations – Explore interactive games and exhibits all about water.
- Paddling at Pittock Reservoir – Hop in a canoe and experience the beauty of Pittock firsthand,
- Live birds of prey shows (5:30 pm and 7 pm) – See raptors soar with the Canadian Raptor Conservancy.
- Community partner booths – Meet community organizations dedicated to protecting water and the environment.
- Drumming circle – Express yourself and come together in community through music.
- Food trucks – Enjoy food from the Smoking Grill, Todd’s Dogs, Las Mexicanas Tacos and Burritos, and Mr. Cool Ice Cream.
