The Western Mustangs announced today that Tyler Varga will not be returning to Western University or its football program for the 2012 season. "We respect Tyler?s decision not to return to the Mustangs. There is no question that Tyler is an outstanding young man. He has demonstrated his talent and skills at the highest levels as both an athlete and student here at Western," says Greg Marshall, head coach of the Western Mustangs. "We appreciate the contributions that he made to the Mustangs football program last year and wish him the very best in his future pursuits." Varga was named 2011 CIS rookie of the year, finishing the regular season with a league-leading 15 touchdowns. His 799 total yards on the ground ranked second in the OUA and fifth in the CIS.
