Woodstock narrowly beat the Applejacks 4-3 on Friday. The Navy Vets also crushed the Shamrocks in Hespeler yesterday 6-2.
PJHL - It was a good weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
The Vets beat the Wellesley Applejacks 4-3 at Southwood Arena Friday night. Sam Barry scored on the powerplay with just under five minutes left to help secure the win for Woodstock.
The Vets also celebrated a 6-2 victory over the Shamrocks in Hespeler yesterday. Rookie forward Davin Gray scored his first two junior goals and former Shamrock goalie Joseph Clark made 31 saves against his old team.
In other local Junior C hockey action, the Norwich Merchants crushed the Shamrocks 10-2 at Nor-Del Arena on Friday, but suffered a 4-2 loss to the Braves in Tavistock on Saturday. The Braves also fell to the Firebirds on Friday, 4-1 in New Hamburg,
The Thamesford Trojans also kept their winning streak alive with a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday.
