Linda Clifford was sentenced to six months in jail on each of her charges and will be on the sexual offenders database indefinitely.
SIMCOE - A judge decided the the fate of a Tillsonburg woman who was arrested in May of 2016 for making and distributing child pornography.
The 53 year old, Linda Clifford reportedly took photos of a baby and sent them to her love interest in America without the parents knowledge or consent.
Clifford was sentenced to six months in jail on each charge to be served back to back and placed on the sexual offenders database for the rest of her life.
Frank Genessee, Clifford's defence lawyer asked for leniency saying that his client was groomed by her lover.
Genessee attempted to reference the case to the likes of Fifty Shades of Grey, the erotic romance turned film in which a successful man holds power over a young woman.
The lawyer's position on the relationship was that it was fantasy much like in Fifty Shades of Grey and one that was not created by Clifford. The comparison was dismissed by Justice Kevin Sherwood.
The Assistant Crown attorney Gracie Romano contested saying there is no evidence the photos were shared with anyone other than her lover.
The victim-impact statements of the child's parents were read in the court and referred to the long term impact of the crimes on their families.
