The Woodstock Police are searching for several stolen vehicles after a busy long weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Some people in the Friendly City decided to use the commotion of the 150 festivities as an opportunity to take what isn't theirs.
The Woodstock Police are investigating a series of thefts over the long weekend.
On Friday, June 30th between 1:24 and 1:27 p.m. a black 1987 Buick Grand National was stolen from a parking lot on Parkinson Road. The vehicle bears Ontario licence plates (BXJP 444) and is valued at $15,000. Police are looking for anyone who may have noticed a black Honda Civic with tinted windows in that area around the time of the theft.
A second vehicle was taken out of a parking lot later that day, this time on Perry Street. Between 6:00 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. a grey 2016 Jeep Wrangler was stolen. The vehicle can be identified by BC licence plates (EM32 6A). It is worth around $55,000.
Later that night or early the next morning two dirt bikes were stolen from a fenced in backyard on Bexley Street. The vehicles are described as a 1993 red and white Honda CR0250 and a 1997 green Kawasaki KLC-110. The dirt bikes are worth a combined $2,000.
The weekend was also rife with thefts from homes; a lawn hose and two sprinklers were stolen from Light Street, several tools were snatched from a Sunset Boulevard home, and solar lights were taken from Springbank.
Anyone with information about any of these thefts is urged to give the Woodstock Police a call.
