The United Way Student Stair Climb is back for the 14th year.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford County youth are giving back to the community in a fun way with the 14th annual United Way Student Stair Climb.
Shelley Lachapelle Resource Development and Communications Manager explains how the students contribute.
"They're allowed to use their voice and let people know that youth in our community do care about whats going on and have the ability and want to be able to give back and this event gives them the platform to do that"
Shelley says the climb will also raise funds for communtiy intiatives.
"We ask each secondary school who participants to raise a minimum of $20 and than that money is invested back into our community to ensure that individuals have the support that they need to succeed"
The event will be held November 2nd at the Woodstock Community Complex and it will be sponsored by Meridian Credit Union.
