The Oxford County Library would like to move the Mount Elgin branch into the new community hub.
MOUNT ELGIN - There could be a new agreement regarding the Mount Elgin branch of the Oxford County Library (OCL)
The Oxford County Library is seeking approval from South-West Oxford Township that would allow the Mount Elgin Library to move into the Township's new community hub.
The proposed new location would create a modern library space alongside municipal and childcare services, and access to public services. It would also improve accessibility through barrier-free design for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families with young children.
Due to the growing population in the area there has been an increased demand for library services, programming, technology access, and community space.
The matter will be discussed during the Oxford County Council meeting today, which should get underway at 9:30 a.m.. You'll be able to livestream the meeting online here.
