The Health Unit Confirmed 55 new cases today, 44 recoveries and 2 additional deaths. Both of the deaths were seniors from Elgin County, including a resident at Caressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health has confirmed 55 new cases of the virus today, 44 recoveries and 2 additional deaths.
The deaths are attributed to a 79 year old man from Elgin County and an 82 year old woman who was a resident of the Carressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas.
We currently have 12 people in the hospital with the virus, including 4 in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 369 active cases with most of them in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Norwich Township, Aylmer and St. Thomas. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

Carressant Care Bonnie Place/St. Thomas - 2 resident case, 0 staff cases and 1 deaths
Woodingford Lodge/Woodstock site - 2 resident cases, 2 staff cases, 0 deaths
PeopleCare/Tavistock - 40 resident cases, 33 staff cases, 7 deaths
Maple Manor/Tillsonburg - 80 resident cases, 48 staff cases, 13 deaths
Terrace Lodge Aylmer - 0 residents cases, 5 staff case, 0 deaths.
