The people in our community who 'sound the sirens' are rolling up their sleeves to help save more lives than they already do. Employees with the different emergency services will participate in the Sirens for Life Challenge. Suzanne Barron with the Canadian Blood Services says, "It's an incentive to encourage the emergency services people such as the Police, Fire, and Paramedics to come out and donate blood during the summer to help increase blood collection. The summer is very challenging for blood collections and that will make a significant difference." Barron says new donors are always needed and anyone can participate in this. This challenge takes place Thursday July 5th at the Woodstock District Community Complex on Finkle Street in Goff Hall from 12:30-7:30pm.
