The Tillsonburg wind turbine blade manufacturing facility lands a huge deal
Siemens Canada has secured an order for the largest wind farm in Ontario, which means great things for workers in Tillsonburg.
The wind turbine blade manufacturing facility has been contracted to supply all 420 49-metre blades for the K2 Wind Power Project in Goderich which will generate 270 megawatts of power.
The contract also secures 300 jobs at the Tillsonburg plant for at least two years.
Construction of the blades is already underway with commercial operation of the turbines expected by spring of 2015.
