Be a good neighbour and make sure everyone in our community can get out of their house today.
OXFORD COUNTY - The OPP are encouraging everyone to help out their neighbours today in Oxford County.
They are reminding residents to shovel the driveway for senior citizens and people who have mobility issues. Constable Ed Sanchuk says helped an 80 year old woman this morning on his way to work.
"It took me probably about a half an hour to 45 minutes to help shovel out her drive way and the smile on her face was priceless."
Sanchuk says it's a great feeling to help someone out and it's important to be a good neighbour.
"If you do have seniors in your community give them a helping hand, one day we are going to be seniors and we are hoping that we will get that extra hand to, so let's all do a good deed, help a senior and help others in our community."
Sanchuk adds they are asking people to slow down today and take some extra time to get to your destination today after yesterday's snow fall.
