Oxford and Brant County are both in danger of extreme weather later today.
UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm watch had been upgraded to a warning.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h and heavy rain.
Locations impacted include Woodstock and Ingersoll.
OXFORD - There's a severe thunderstorm watch in effect.
The conditions developing over Lower Michigan are favourable for severe thunderstorms in Ontario this afternoon and evening, notably in Oxford and Brant county.
Environment Canada wants to remind everyone of the dangers that come along with thunderstorms. Torrential downpours can cause flash floods, strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles, and tornadoes are always possible in these conditions.
