WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock doctor wanted for child pornography charges is no longer practicing medicine.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario has confirmed that Dr. Robert Stern has stepped away from the medical field. The Woodstock Hospital also released a statement on Friday, saying Dr. Stern has not had privileges at the hospital since 2014.
An article in the London Free Press says 50 devices were seized from Dr. Stern's home on July 7th and police have not found any images of his former patients.
Detective Constable Mike Haegens also told the London Free Press that Stern has a home in Florida, but police have no reason to believe that he has left the country at this time. Police in Florida are also aware of the charges against Stern.
A Canada Wide Arrest Warrant was issued for Stern last week. He's wanted for possessing, distributing, and accessing child pornography.
