The Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts has announced their next fundraising event in their FUNdRAISE the ROOF campaign.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts is bringing in a Celtic band in hopes of raising more money for the FUNdRAISE the ROOF campaign.
Poor Angus will be hitting the stage at Park Place Theatre next Saturday night.
Publicity Director Jim Konopetski says they're from the Hamilton area and have quite the following.
"They're very good at what they do, they are really good entertainers. They get the crowd into it; people sing along and tap their toes. They're going to play some original music and Irish classics like Whiskey in the Jar and Barrett's Privateers and other songs that people will really know."
The show is geared towards all ages.
Tickets are $30 each and they can be purchased online here or by calling the box office at 519-485-3070.
Konopetski says all of the money raised will go right back into the theatre
"Rather than continue to patch up an old roof we've decided it's best to put on a new roof and hopefully avoid repairing it for 20 plus years to come."
The replacement is going to cost between $30,000 and $40,000. The campaign has currently raised about $16,000 to $17,000.
