WEST PERTH - We are in day 3 of the search for a 10 year old girl who emergency crews fear fell into the river just outside of Mitchell.
The girl was last seen just before 10:30 am on Sunday at Whirl Creek.
Today members of the search teams are in the water, on the water, along the shore and the OPP helicopter is in the area as well.
Members of the Stratford, St. Marys, and Huron Area Search and Rescue Swift Water Rescue teams, along with the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, Underwater Search and Rescue, and Aviation have been searching for the girl since yesterday.
The public is asked to avoid the area as the river is very dangerous right now.
