OXFORD COUNTY - Today is the last day of school for most of the kids in Woodstock and Oxford County and for parents that means the phrase I'm bored is about to become a popular one in your household.
Oxford OPP also want to get the message out to motorists because you will start seeing more pedestrian and bicycle traffic on our streets during the summer.
You are reminded to drive with care, especially near parks and rec centres and give bicycles plenty of space. When coming upon bicycles give them space and slow down, and keep an eye for children playing near the street.
Parents are also reminded to talk to your kids about the pedestrian rules when walking and crossing the street. Bicycle helmets are the law for those under 18. Parents should be an example and wear yours too and when it comes to cycling, the buddy system is always best.
