Boat launches are officially open and the OPP is preaching safety as people hit the lakes this week.
OXFORD COUNTY - The OPP are promoting safe boating week by encouraging everyone to drive sober, whether it's by land or sea.
Boat launches officially re-opened on Saturday and many people took to the water to celebrate.
OPP marine units will be patrolling the lakes once again this summer looking for impaired drivers, people speeding on the lake and making sure your boat is equipped with the proper safety gear.
