Ronda Stewart will be working for the ROEDC as a Economic Development Officer and she starts on Monday.
OXFORD COUNTY - Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation is happy to welcome Ronda Stewart to their staff as their new Economic Development Officer.
Part-time Economic Development Officer Nancy Orr says that everyone is happy to welcome Stewart to the company.
"She's a certified economic developer. She has worked in the small business center and she has worked on a consulting basis with many companies just helping them thrive and build their expertise and success, so she's got a really diverse spectrum. She's also an elected official for Libro Financial so she's got that perspective as well, so just a really vast array of experience."
ROEDC was formed in 2014 consisting of representatives from the Townships of Blandford-Blenheim, East Zorra-Tavistock, Norwich, South-West Oxford, and Zorra. They provide a personal and responsive business service, support, and connections to new and existing businesses and organizations.
Orr, who will be working alongside Stewart, says she is greatly qualified for the position.
"We are very excited to have Ronda bring her expertise and to build a more wholesome team here so that we can help bring our strategic priorities forward and continue to support the success of our existing businesses here in rural Oxford."
Stewart was in today to briefly to tour the building.
She will be joining the Rural Oxford Economic Development Corporation on Monday.
