The program pairs volunteers with someone who is unable to shovel their own driveway/sidewalks.
WOODSTOCK - It won't be too long before you have to worry about shoveling snow.
The City of Woodstock has decided open the registration for the Snow Buddies Program.
Those who are unable to shovel their own sidewalks/driveway can sign up for the program online here and have a volunteer take care of it for them. However, the city does say that assignments are not guaranteed, because they're all depending on location and availability.
The Snow Buddies volunteers can register online here. They have to be over 12 years old and they will have to participate in a free training session hosted by the city. It's a great opportunity for high school students to get their community hours for graduation.
