A teenager believed to be the youngest person ever to swim across Lake Ontario has raised $115,000 to send kids with cancer to camp. 14-year-old Annaleise Carr says when the going got tough during her 27-hour swim from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Toronto, she thought about the children at Camp Trillium and what they go through their whole lives. Donations for Annaleise Carr's marathon swim will send 115 children to camp for 10 days. At a news conference less than 20 hours after she climbed out of the water, Carr said she was really excited to hear how much money she raised. Speaking in Port Dover today, she said with one kilometre left in her swim the current was bad and it felt like she was going nowhere, but she could hear her supporters cheering and that kept her going. Carr, who's from the tiny community of Walsh in southern Ontario, says it took a while to convince her parents to let her do the 52-kilometre swim.
