Rain Could Impact Easter Egg Hunts in Oxford County

It will be a game time decision for the Easter Egg Hunt in the City of Woodstock this year, while the hunt in Ingersoll is moving indoors.

WOODSTOCK - It will be a game time decision for the Easter Egg Hunt in the City of Woodstock this year.

The plan right now is to have the epic Egg-Stravaganza at Victoria Park on Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. However mother nature right now is calling for rain on Saturday. If it is just a light rain or a drizzle the event will go on as planned. Because of all the work in the setup, and the condition of the park though, if it is a heavy rain they will have to cancel the event. Organizers with the City of Woodstock will make the decision at 8:00 am on Saturday morning. We will provide you with the update on Heart FM and on our twitter and Facebook page once it is announced. The City of Woodstock will also be posting it on their social media accounts.

If the event is cancelled all of the chocolate will be donated to local charities in Woodstock.

Event Details:

This year's Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Victoria Park in Downtown Woodstock with a start time of 10:30 sharp. The field will open and children will begin their egg collection. After collecting one egg of each of the five colours, they will be able to turn them in to receive a candy prize and an entry into our draw for several larger prizes. There will be ample eggs available to ensure that all participating children will be able to complete the challenge and quality for a chance to win the larger prizes. The event is for kids between the ages of 2-11.

Parking:

Street parking will be available on the various side streets surrounding Victoria Park. All municipal and business parking lots are available free of charge on weekends (BDO Lot, Courthouse lot, Public Health lot).

Meanwhile the the Rotary Club's Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday April 20th will now take place at the Ingersoll Memorial Arena. Things get started at 10 a.m.
