Oxford County residents are invited to take part in an online survey regarding the 2018 budget process.
Residents are being asked to respond to an online survey to identify planning and service priorities for the 2018 budget. Director of Corporate Services for the County Lynn Buchner tells Heart FM why they are conducting this survey.
"The comments will be consolidated in the form of a report and those that we can implement immediately will certainly be introduced in the business plan in the budget. We look at this as an opportunity as well, not only to get feedback but for residents to understand, what services are provided by area municipalities versus the County."
Residents will be asked what services in the community they think should be enhanced, maintained or reduced in the upcoming year.
“This survey is an easy way for residents to engage in the budget process and to have input into how tax dollars are spent in their community. The information collected helps identify which services and investments are important in each community, so we can work towards meeting the needs of all residents in a fiscally responsible way. By working with our municipal partners we hope to both inform about the services provided, and gain a better understanding of what matters most to
