The Province confirmed 163 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 12 more deaths. Meanwhile another 229 people have made a recovery and the amount of people in the hospital has dropped again to 278.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 163 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.5% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 34,016.
The Province also confirmed another 12 deaths bringing the total to 2,631 and 1,683 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 229 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 29,336.
5,427 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,245 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 278 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 73 are in the ICU and 48 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 23,207 tests yesterday.
