We currently have 13,004 active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario after the Province confirmed 1,589 new cases this morning and 1,484 recoveries.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,589 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 105,501.
The Province reported 19 new deaths related to COVID-19 today and the total now sits at 3,505. Meanwhile another 1,484 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 88,992.
The province completed 37,471 tests yesterday. We currently have 507 COVID-19 patients in the hospital and 156 are in the ICU. At least 40 hospitals in the Province have not provided data from the weekend so it is expected the number of people in the hospital and in the ICU are higher than what is being reported. Most of the new cases are coming from area hotspots with 535 new cases in Peel, 336 in Toronto and 205 in York Region.
