Prince Philip passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle this morning at the age of 99.
UNITED KINGDOM - Prince Philip has passed away at the age of 99.
Buckingham Palace says the Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully at Windsor Castle this morning. Officials say his death was not related to COVID-19, adding he was vaccinated for the virus alongside his wife Queen Elizabeth the second back in January.
Philip married the Queen back when she was still Princess Elizabeth back in 1947. He went on to become the longest-serving royal consort in British history.
He retired from public duties in 2017 and he was admitted to hospital on February 17th of this year after he started feeling unwell. He was released from hospital on March 16th and lived out his final days at Windsor Castle.
