Oxford County Council has awarded a consulting contract to Strategy Corp Inc. in order to begin the strategic planning process. The Strategic Plan will detail all of their long-term goals.
OXFORD COUNTY - A new Strategic Plan is now in the works for Oxford County Council.
This plan will lay out all of their long-term goals.
Warden Marcus Ryan says there was a bit of apprehension at the start of this council term with six new council members, an interim CAO and no Strategic Plan, but that's all about to change.
"I am very happy now that we have hired our permanent CAO (Ben Addley) and now the Strategic Plan work is going to start. I think this is where we are going to start to see this council really start to say what the long-term goals are and that will give clear direction to staff as to where we need to go in order to satisfy the needs and wants of Oxford residents."
During last night's meeting, Council decided to award a consulting contract to Strategy Corp Inc. in order to get the ball rolling on the strategic planning process. This will include a public consultation period.
The last plan was released back in 2013 and updated in 2020.
