Dave Cripps is looking to transition from being a TVDSB Trustee to Ingersoll Town Councillor
INGERSOLL - Another nomination has come forward to try and win a seat for Ingersoll Town Council.
Dave Cripps is a father of four and has been a lifelong Ingersoll resident. He is chair of the Ingersoll BIA, and co-owns a small business with his wife.
Cripps is currently a TVDSB trustee for Oxford and explains why he is running in this election. "The School Board is under supervision right now, and there's a little bit of lack of clarity as to the future of that role, and I still have lots of things to give back. I am all about when local government listens first. I'm just going to move a little bit closer to home while the Provincial Government sorts out what's going on with the school board."
Cripps speaks to what he would like to accomplish if elected.
"Looking at supporting local businesses, making sure that our community services are strong and tailored for what the community is looking for in Ingersoll, making sure our roads are up to date, and ensuring there's sustainable taxes as well as transparency and value around municipal taxes in Ingersoll."
Residents will head to the polls for the municipal election on October 26th.
