More than one Police team were on the scene of an overnight incident in Tavistock and apprehended a male without incident.
UPDATE: Oxford OPP have made an arrest after responding to a person in crisis in Tavistock last night.
50 year old John Mathers was taken into custody on three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. The OPP brought in the West Region Emergency Response Team, West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Canine and West Region Crisis Negotiators to Woodstock Street North last night to assist with the arrest.
TAVISTOCK - There may be some police presence in Tavistock this morning in the Woodstock Street North area as officers continue to investigate an overnight situation.
Oxford OPP along with members of the West Region Emergency Response Team , West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Canine and Crisis Negotiators were on scene at around 3:10 a.m.
The ongoing investigation related to a threat led to the containment of a residence on Woodstock Street North.
Police say a male was taken into custody without incident and will be held for a bail hearing on May 29th in Woodstock.
Officers will remain in the area while the investigation continues.
