Oxford OPP are looking for a suspect vehicle after a hit and run in Tillsonburg Wednesday night. Police say two female pedestrians were crossing Washington Grand Ave and Broadway Street around 8:15 p.m. when they spotted a vehicle coming towards them at a high rate of speed. The driver slammed on their brakes but could not stop in time, hitting the women and knocking them to the ground. The suspect vehicle then fled from the scene heading northbound on Broadway Street. The two women were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police are looking for an older model, light silver Chevy Impala with dark trim and tinted windows. The suspect driver is believed to a male with short brown hair. Any witnesses or those with information are asked to call Oxford OPP at 519-688-6540 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- TIPS (8477).
