Police were contacted by a senior who got a call from someone saying their credit card had been compromised. The scammer pretended to work for the fraud security department of Visa and eBay. The victim was told their credit card had been compromised and a fee of $2,000 had been processed. As result of this charge, the suspect asked the victim if they would assist in the investigation in an attempt to identify those responsible.
