It was a busy Thanksgiving Weekend for the Oxford OPP as part of Operation Impact.
OXFORD COUNTY - The numbers from Operation Impact have been released.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, officers conducted around 100 traffic stops and issued nearly 100 charges and warnings. The charges were varied, and the list is below.
- 30 - Speeding Charges,
- 13 - Other Provincial Offence Charges,
- 8 - Impaired Driving Charges,
- 6 - Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act Charges, and
- 4 - Other Criminal Code Charges
The Oxford OPP reminds everyone to adopt safe driving habits and behaviours and always drive within the law. Traffic safety is everyone's responsibility. Please, everyone, do your part.
