Only Call 9-1-1 for Emergencies

The Brant-Brantford Paramedics and the Brant Community Healthcare System are experiencing a high demand for service.

BRANT COUNTY - The County of Brant is asking residents to only call 911 for emergencies. 

Chief of Paramedic Services Russell King says the Brant-Brantford Paramedics and the Brant Community Healthcare System are experiencing a high demand for service.

"Paramedics are ready to serve the community. Please remember that we have a limited number of resources available and when all ambulances are in use, it makes it more challenging to respond to critical incidents."

Call 911 immediately for any life-threatening medical problem including:

- Chest pain,

- Choking,

- Difficulty speaking,

- Drowning,

- Poisoning,

- Sudden intense pain,

- Severe burns,

- A suicide threat,

- Weakness or numbness on one side of your body or,

- Other serious medical problems.
