Today marks the one year anniversary of the truck attack in London that killed four members of a Muslim family.
LONDON - It has been one year since a Muslim family in London was killed in what authorities have called a hate-motivated attack.
A prayer service will be taking place at 9:00 a.m. this morning and there will be a vigil in Memorial Plaza at 6:30p.m. this evening. The City of London will also unveil a memorial plaque and garden to honour the victims.
An emotional march took over the city yesterday afternoon, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in attendance.
This afternoon in London, thousands of people showed up to honour the Afzaal family; to be there for Fayez, who survived; and to march against Islamophobia. In memory of #OurLondonFamily, we must keep working together and using every tool we have to combat this hatred. pic.twitter.com/nsedyRc3a7
